A different scale.
Coolbox is exploring small spaces where people can find relief from extreme heat, without needing to cool an entire building.
The project considers passive, hybrid and active approaches, suited to different climates and levels of infrastructure.
The aim is practical cooling with as little energy demand as possible.

WHERE WE ARE
Before the
first prototype.
Coolbox is at an early stage. The next step is to develop and test the ideas with the right engineering, research and funding partners.
WHAT COMES NEXT
Validate, build, test
Engineering review, prototype fabrication and testing. Performance and suitable uses will need to be established through that work.
Technical designs and detailed project documentation are reserved for direct discussions with prospective collaborators.
